My name is Favour James, a student of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Akwa Ibom State University.

It is with great delight that I give this speech today. First, my utmost gratitude goes to God Almighty for making this day a reality and for its success already, to Him be praise forever.

I would like to sincerely appreciate Jemitim Foundation for this incredible honour and recognition, I am indeed grateful and most especially to the founder of this noble foundation, in the person of Prof. (Mrs) Jemimah Ekanem. Your vision to foster girl child education and to promote excellent academic achievements has landed me this great opportunity. Thank you very much Ma.

I want to thank also the Scholarship Board for believing in me and my abilities as this opportunity has motivated me to continue working hard and pursuing my dreams.

I won’t fail to thank Akwa Ibom State University as a whole, the prestigious Department of Mechanical Engineering, my family, friends, and mentors whose training, support, and continuous guidance has brought me this far and to everyone who graced this occasion today, I say a big thank you.

I am so excited to take this scholarship and make the most of it. Thank you once again for this prestigious award. I am committed to using this scholarship to making a positive impact academically and otherwise.
