DISTINGUISH LADIES AND GENTLEMEN,

Good afternoon.

My name is Enomfon Effiong Okpousung, a student of the department of biochemistry. It is with deep humility and heartfelt gratitude that I stand before you today as a recipient of this scholarship award.

First and foremost, I want to thank God Almighty, the One who makes all things possible. Without Him, I wouldn't be here. His grace has carried me through moments I thought I wouldn't survive, and His timing has always been perfect, even when I didn’t understand it.

Secondly, I want to express my sincere appreciation to the Jemitim Foundation. Thank you not only for believing in me, but for extending a hand of support when I had none to hold. Coming from a background where I have no parents or sponsors, this scholarship has not just been a financial help, it is also hope. It has pushed me forward when life tried to hold me back. It has reminded me that there is still kindness and compassion in the world.

This moment means more to me than words can express. It is a reminder that your beginning does not define your ending, and that sometimes, even in silence, God is working.

To every student out there, especially those facing hardship, those without sponsors or stable support, please keep believing. God is always cooking something for you. It may not show now, but when it does, it will be worth the tears, every prayer, and every sleepless night. Stay faithful, stay focused, and trust that your time is coming.
