Distinguished ladies and gentlemen,
Good afternoon.
My name is Confidence Urang, a 200-level student in the Department of Accounting, Akwa Ibom State University. I am greatly honoured to be one of the recipients of this year’s Jemitim Foundation Scholarship Award.
First and foremost, I am grateful to God Almighty, who has always helped me and who made this possible. For providing a way where all hope seemed lost, and for the grace and favour He continues to show me, I am truly grateful.
Secondly, I would like to sincerely appreciate the Founder of the Jemitim Foundation, in the person of Prof. Mrs. Jemima Ekanem, and her entire team for this wonderful opportunity to celebrate excellence, provide financial support, and invest in the future of young girls.
Not only have you contributed to academic excellence through your financial assistance, but you have also shown support for the vision and dreams of young girls. In a society where girls are sometimes made to believe that they are of little importance, you have, through your academic pursuit and support, shown that we too can rise above the norm.
Thank you once again, Ma. I pray that God continues to bless you and your team abundantly. Amen.
Furthermore, I would not fail to acknowledge my parents, whose encouragement, love, and support have greatly contributed to the person I am today. I am deeply grateful for everything they have done for me.
To my fellow awardees, congratulations to us.
Once again, I am sincerely grateful to the Jemitim Foundation for this opportunity and honour, and I also appreciate everyone who contributed to making this award ceremony a success.
Thank you.
Miss Confidence Urang.
